Distributor, Processor, or Broker? Know the Difference
A processor raises or slaughters birds and produces raw cuts at the source. A distributor (that is us) buys from certified processors, holds cold-storage inventory, and ships finished cuts to restaurants, grocers and other distributors — usually with more flexibility on pack size and faster turnaround than going direct to a processor. A broker arranges deals between buyers and processors without holding inventory themselves, which can mean longer lead times and less control over quality. Knowing which one you are actually talking to changes what you should expect on price, lead time, and accountability.
